So many pedal tractors! The guy whose land we hunted on collects them, it was neat to see so many brands represented.
They also had this cool 427 powered truck:
I also got to hang out with all the cute girls while I was there:
Millie dog
Sadie dog
Bella dog
That last picture is Bella, a 7 month old chocolate lab puppy. I wish I’d gotten a better photo because she was honestly the prettiest lab I’ve ever seen. She was also an amazingly good bird dog for it being her first hunt.
Gunlopnik:
I shot this Browning A5 most of the weekend, while my dad shot his two over & unders (including this Browning Citori). I also shot my dad’s 12 gauge Remington 870 3-1/2" super mag for half a day, and was immediately reminded how much I dislike shooting that gun (sloppy, long throw action that’s easy to under pump and not load a shell).
Foodlopnik:
Creamed pheasant, smoked brisket, smoked sausage, bacon wrapped pheasant, pickled jalapenos, and corn muffins.
It was a great couple days of hunting and hanging out with my cousins and uncles. The birds were plentiful and I shot my limit all 3 days.

Odd, I really like my 870. Only had a loading issue once with it.

mmmmm bacon wrapped Pheasant. Looks like you had a nice time. South Dakota is a well kept secret. Those of us that are from there don’t tell you about it so we can save it all for ourselves.

It’s a 3-1/2” chamber super mag, so if you don’t quite run the action far enough it will eject but not load.

Day one was miserably windy, and that’s coming from a Kansan. I did thoroughly enjoy everything else for the most part. Kimball is an amusing little town.

It’s a good turkey gun, but I’m not a fan of it in this situation. Plus, after all the rebates and such when my dad bought it a couple years ago, it only cost like $180.
